Linde

Dry Ice

Dry ice appears as a translucent white solid. It changes from a solid to a gas (sublimes) at normal temperatures without going through a liquid state. It is used in storage and transportation of frozen or chilled foods, medical and pharmaceutical materials as well as industrial cleaning by dry ice blasting.

Carbon Dioxide is liquified gas which is colorless, odourless, toxic in high concentrations,asphyxiant and has corrosive charecteristics in presence of moisture. Carbon Dioxide is heavier than air and will collect in low lying areas, trenches, drains. At elevated temperatures, the gas reacts with many substances. Carbondioxide is used in:

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is a fuel gas which finds wide applications in heat treatment, as shielding gas in plasma welding, and is used with fuel cells. Hydrogen is odourless, colorless,tasteless, ignites very easily, burns with an invisible flame and lighter than air. Hydrogen collects on top such as ceiling level, upper ducts. It has the highest thermal conductivity among all gases.

Food grade nitrogen being slightly soluble in a wide range of liquids is used to flush unwanted gases from solutions. Nitrogen is used in:
